one week until practice

One more week until Thursday practice. Money is low and the bike is not done yet. My father and Neal helped me this week to get the body work on the bike. Its very nice to have that out of the way. Sunday I will be finishing up the bike, which includes, holes for frame sliders, attaching my race numbers (picked up today), and safety wiring everything up. For the safety wiring I have about 5 or 6 bolts/nuts to drill .. the rest is already done.

I sent in my entry forms for June and July weekends. I will indeed be doing 6 races in June. My goal is to be an Amateur by July, but we shall see how that plays out.

My new tires came in which I will get mounted after Thursday practice, and use Saturday morning practice to scrub them in. I really hope to get at least two race weekends out of a set of tires (hopefully three). I think my front tire is good for the weekend, but the rear is pretty shot from VIR.

I will have pictures of the bike up here after I finish the work this weekend. I can't wait until I'm done with the bike.
